Brand Info: Eduscho

Eduscho is a German company that began operations in 1924.  At that time, they delivered coffee to customers by postal mail.  In less than 15 years, the company employed over 1000 employees, delivering coffee to 150,000 customers.  They also begin selling coffee grinders.  The second World War heavily impacts the business, but by 1948, the company is back shipping coffee.  By 1955, Eduscho opened its first store in Bremen, followed by stores in all the major German cities.  Gala coffee is introduced in 1959, now being sold in bakeries, which furthers identifies the brand.  Ten years later, the company begins to expand into the surrounding countries, including Austria where it quickly becomes a top seller.

In 1980, Gala coffee begins producing a blend renamed Number 1 (Nr. 1) to reflect its status on the market and its flavor and quality.  Tchibo, a storied German roaster of its own making, buys Eduscho in 1997 and continues to create new coffees.  In the last 10 years, Eduscho has introduced espresso and individual capsules, later individual pods for their coffee machines.  Today Eduscho’s full range of coffee include latte, Machiato and Cappuccino.

At, we now have Eduscho coffee.  You really must try it!
