Swedish Coffee Shop Bans Children (and Strollers)

A Stockholm coffee shop and bistro recently implemented a ban on children in their shop meeting a storm of criticism from outraged parents.  While the management was a little surprised by the backlash, they were delighted by the response of customers and colleagues, who supported them wholeheartedly.  There is talk of parents taking the ban to court, which the owner supports.  Experts watching think that if the owners can point to fire safety concerns, they could beat the discrimination charge.  (Apparently, many families in Sweden take their strollers and young children into the shops, which do make it difficult to move around.)
