Inspired by our brands’ ongoing commitment to sustainable practices, we found some ways you can reuse coffee and grounds rather than just throwing them away. First, as a delicious alternative to water in a cake recipe, use leftover coffee in the batter, especially chocolate cake or brownies. Or, combine the leftover coffee with milk, cream and sugar to make homemade coffee ice cream. You can even water your plants with leftover cooled coffee. Finally, add coffee grounds to your compost pile. The acid has already been extracted during the brewing process, so what remains is a nitrogen source. Enjoy!
