Segafredo IS Italian Espresso

2015_Segafredo Espresso Classico

If you like Italian coffee (and honestly, what’s not to like?!), then you already know that Segafredo Coffee company is passionate and creative. Their dedication to continuous innovation in all aspects of coffee production has allowed the company to grow into the titan it is today. Massimo Zanetti started a coffee roasting business in Bologna in 1973. Today, Segafredo is part of a larger beverage group. The company runs a coffee plantation and a processing plant in Brazil, has more than 10 roasting plants and hundreds of Segafredo Espresso cafes around the globe and operates an entire Food Service line for commercial and office use. When you do the math, that means more than 50 million cups of Segafredo espresso are drunk every day.

Not surprisingly, Segafredo is one of our most popular coffees. For home preparation, Segafredo Intermezzo and Espresso Casa coffees are two of our best sellers. Intermezzo has an authentic Italian flavor thanks to its blend of Arabica and Robusta beans. The flavor is relatively strong, with spicy notes, good structure and a full aroma. With medium crema, Intermezzo is perfect for espresso. Espresso Casa is a balanced dark roast, with good crema and also perfect for espresso. We have both roasts in stock, in ground and whole bean.
