Who’s back, you ask?
Well, Andre Agassi. And he was at the US Open for the first time in 10 years this past June. He’s the Lavazza International Ambassador. The partnership with Lavazza also helped raise funds or the Andre Agassi Foundation with $1 gong to the foundation for every Lavazza coffee bought at the Open. Lavazza, the official coffee of the US Open, had wanted to partner with someone that shares its mission of pursuing excellence. Their new campaign kicked off with “I’m back” at June’s US Open.
Agassi, perhaps one of the greatest tennis champs of all time, brings a professional resume with 60 titles, eight Grand Slam tournaments (meaning he won the four most difficult major competitions on the international circuit in the same year eight times), was listed world number one six times, holds an Olympic gold medal and earned the Golden Slam (four Grand Slams and a Gold Medal).
Agassi himself has said that he has had a life-long love of coffee, so partnering with Lavazza, a company at the forefront of the industry for more than 120 years, was a natural fit. Lavazza as a company has long had a close association with tennis, including being the only beverage brand to partner with all four Grand Slams.
