Say “Aloha” to Our New Hawaiian Coffees!

2014_Kauai Coffee pic with logo
That’s right! We now have coffee grown in Hawaii, from the island of Kauai. But wait…isn’t all about European coffee? Well, yes, we are, but we are also about premium coffee, grown and processed with respect for the land and for the farmers. Hawaii has the perfect climate and soil for growing rich, delicious coffee. And indeed, this is a product made in America as Hawaii is the only U.S. state where coffee is grown.

Now you are probably thinking that coffee from Hawaii has to be Kona coffee. Well, at one time that was the case – all coffee was from the Big Island, grown in a specific area known as the Kona coffee belt. Thus the coffee produced there is named Kona, which describes where it is grown (not the type of bean). Like all coffee grown in Hawaii, the beans are Arabica. In the recent past, though, the other areas and islands are getting in on the fun, with Arabica beans being grown in the Ka’u district, the Puna district and the Hamakua district of the Big Island. The islands of Maui, Moloka’i, Oahu and Kauai now all produce coffee, each with its own special nuances, a direct result of the specific area in which they are grown.

We have four flavors of ground Kauai Coffee in stock: Koloa Medium Roast, Koloa Dark Roast, Koloa Coconut Caramel Crunch and Koloa  Vanilla Macadamia Nut, all grown on the Koloa Estate. These are single-origin coffees with consistent and specific flavors. The Koloa Medium Roast coffee begins with a lively aroma and finishes with gentle floral notes. The Koloa Dark Roast is bold with cocoa notes. (We also have Medium and Dark Roasts in whole beans for the same price!) Koloa Coconut Caramel Crunch and Koloa Vanilla Macadamia Nut ground coffees are just as flavorful as their names suggest!

This is a great new range of coffees we are excited to make available to you! Buy today at and get 10% off Hawaiian coffee with no minimum order!*
