New Year, New Beginnings with Better Coffee

Are you feeling inspired in this new year? Are you motivated to try something new? The new year is a great time to break an old habit or to step outside the daily grind for a refreshing perspective on our day-to-day life. Some ideas:

Start or join a book club

Volunteer somewhere in your local area

Plant something

Hike a trail in a nearby park

Learn a new language

A new or special event deserves to begin and end with coffee. (Oh, heck – everything starts and ends with coffee! But we digress…)

We suggest you try one, two or all 5 of the German brands on special this week. You’ll find your first sip transports you to a good place. Your last sip will too…and all the ones in between.

Sip, Savor and Create Delightful Moments With…

Jacobs: “The Aroma is Wonderful”

Jacobs flagship coffee is Kronung, [“coronation” in German], and is widely known for its aromatic qualities, mellow flavor and reasonable price. We have several options including Mild, Balanced, and Decaf, some in ground and whole beans.

Try Jacobs Espresso whole beans, a dark roast that produces a traditional espresso. We have Crema and Crema Intenso in whole beans also.

Jacobs makes several instant coffees too, from Kronung Instant, Cronat Gold, and Velvet Instant. Trust us – European instant coffee is an art, and is extremely popular around the world. Give European instant a try – it’s a new world of flavor!

Tchibo: “A New Experience”

If you prefer a coffee with a stronger flavor, try Beste Bohne, literally translated as “Best Bean.” The blend of fine 100% Arabica beans has a sweetness with good body, making it perfect to drink any time. We have Tchibo Beste Bohne in ground and whole bean. For those who don’t already know, the aroma alone makes it worth trying.

Tchibo Feine Milde Ground coffee is a naturally mild coffee made from Arabica beans grown in different geographical areas. The perfect blend makes the coffee mild and soft with a delicious flavor. The blend of Arabica and Robusta beans in Tchibo Exclusive is perfect for espresso, French Press, and stovetop moka makers. We have it in ground, so it works for most coffee preparation methods.

We also have Tchibo Espresso Milano Style and Sicilia Style, both in whole beans, and perfect for espresso and as a base for other coffee drinks. Sicilia Style, made from 80% Arabica beans/20% Robusta beans, has flavorful dark notes in a full-bodied coffee topped with a velvety crema. Milano Style is made from 100% Arabica beans, roasted so their natural richness highlights the fruit and dark chocolate notes, and makes a perfect Milanese espresso.

Dallmayr: “The Perfect Taste”

If you enjoy a smooth coffee, then you must have tried Dallmayr Prodomo, their most popular product. The coffee is smooth from the first sip to the finish, and we have whole beans, ground, plus a decaf roast and a mild roast, both in ground.

Dallmayr Gold instant coffee is an intensly aromatic medium roast, blended to please the most discerning palate.

For a truly velvety coffee, Dallmayr Crema D’Oro is balanced, smooth, with spicy aroma notes. The 100% Arabica beans are gently roasted, making a delicious espresso, or to be used as a base for lattes and cappuccinos. Dallmayr Espresso D’Oro is strong, spicy and great for straight espresso or any espresso drink. We have these in whole beans.

Eduscho: “Creates Comfort and Coziness”

For almost 100 years, Eduscho has sold coffee, and for many decades early on, that was the Eduscho advertising slogan. Gala Number 1 (Nr. 1) is their flagship product. We have Gala Nr. 1 Klassisch in ground for a true European coffee experience.

It’s A Furniture Store. It’s A Chain Restaurant. It’s Both.

ikeaYou may already know that IKEA is the world’s largest furniture retailer. There are stores in 38 countries around the world. It turns out that IKEA is also one of the largest international restaurant chains. Of course, they all offer their signature Swedish meatballs, but from there, menus vary by country. Choices on the menu are influenced by the location of the restaurant. For instance, a shop in France offers macarons; a restaurant in Winnepeg offers poutine (French fries with gravy and cheese, a national staple); in India, enjoy curry and biryani.

As always, enjoy better coffee and thanks from the EnjoyBetterCoffee Team!

Drink The Best Of Sweden and Finland

Scandi-Banner-November-2018At EnjoyBetterCoffee.com, we have a range of the best coffees from the Nordic region of the world. You’ll find Paulig from Finland, Lofbergs and Arvid Nordquist, both from Sweden, on our site.
Stockholm-Museum-RenoJust recently in Sweden, Stockholm’s National museum reopened after it had been closed for 5 years for restoration. The building, originally built in 1866, needed plenty done: Updating technology, security, accessibility, safety and temperature control. During the restoration, Swedish designers were commissioned to collaborate with more than twenty Nordic manufacturers to furnish and decorate staff quarters, a new restaurant and café, and the public spaces. A total of 82 locally-made products, from furniture, to lighting, to tableware, textiles and toys, are part of the $132 million budget. The designer team researched Nordic manufacturing, traveling throughout the region to find the best ideas. For example, inspired by fishing nets, beech plywood is molded into undulating strips, which are then formed into circular and cube shapes used as shades for lighting. The museum has tripled the number of objects than can now be exhibited, but that is still only 8 percent of their entire collection, which includes work spanning from the late Middle Ages to the present day. The museum reopened late last month, and worth a visit should you be heading that way.

You can be sure the National museum restaurant and café serve Nordic coffee to visitors, and we have the best Nordic coffee. Through Tuesday, get 15% off your orders of Paulig, Lofbergs, and Arvid Nordquist coffees with no minimum required at www.EnjoyBetterCoffee.com.*

Coffee Cup Share Program Launches

VesselA company in Boulder, CO delivers stainless steel tumblers to participating coffee cafes for use by customers who may not want to leave with a paper or plastic cup. Comparing the system to borrowing library books, the owners noted that books are borrowed for a while, and if not returned, a fee is charged. For their program, customers order requesting the special tumbler, which has a QR code for tracking, and then can keep the cup for five days before it should be returned to one of the company’s special kiosks found throughout Boulder. Keep the cup too long, and the user is charged $15.
